UNESCO World heritage sites

Butrint

Located in the south of Albania, it is an ancients city and archaeological site that has been continuously occupied for over 25,000 years. It exhibits a blend of Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian influences and provides a unique insight into the history of the Mediterranean region.

Gjirokastra

This is a very well preserved city in the Southern Albania and is know for its exceptional examples of Ottoman architecture. The town’s characteristic stone houses, narrow streets, and well preserved bazaar area showcase traditional urban life in the Ottoman period.
